Surprising Frozen Lunch
I decided to give this Sprouts Thai Red Curry a try because I needed something fast for lunch between meetings, and honestly, it smells wonderful right out of the microwave. The scent of coconut and spices immediately filled the kitchen, making my mouth water before I even took the first bite. I was genuinely impressed by the flavor of the red curry sauce because it is rich and creamy with just enough heat to be interesting without being painful. The jasmine rice fluffed up nicely, which does not always happen with frozen meals, and the vegetables like the bamboo shoots and green beans actually had a decent crunch to them rather than being soggy.
While the taste is amazing, there is one thing I would change about this meal. I really wish the portion size was just a little bit bigger or that it had slightly more tofu to make it more filling. I found myself looking for a snack a couple of hours later because it is quite light. Next time, I think I will heat up some extra veggies or have a side of spring rolls to go with it. Even with that small critique, the quality of the sauce makes it worth buying again for a quick and tasty vegan option that tastes much better than your average frozen dinner.
